What it means to be healthy

The Center for Disease Control-CDC most recent data on rates of obesity for 2014, ranks the rate obesity for Adults age 20 and over at 37.9% in the United States. The percentage of Adults age 20 and over with overweight, including obesity at 70.7%.
The percentage of Adolescents age 12-19 years with obesity is 20.6%: the percentage of obesity in children ages 6-11 years is 17.4%: the percentages of children ages 2-5 years with obesity is 9.4%.

Obesity related health conditions include heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, and certain types of cancer. Obesity related conditions result in significant costs for medical care, estimated at $147 billion in the United States in 2008.
Obesity also negatively impacts the emotional and physical wellbeing of peoples regardless of age or sex. Weight management and obesity can be significantly impacted with a health intervention program that includes Behavioral Modification Counseling, Stress Management, Healthy Eating, and a Personalized Physical Activity Program.
